We can’t go back once we have had too much. When drinking/using, go slow. Drink/use a small amount first and pace yourself. If you are worried call triple zero.
Headed out for the night? Watch out for your friends. You can use apps like “Find My Friends” to share your location for if you get separated from the group.
Is there a friend who is not using/drinking in your group? Having a buddy system can ensure friends aren’t left alone or are supported if they become unwell.
Week 3
Reducing your alcohol intake helps. Drink low strength and have water after each drink. This keeps you hydrated and reduces the chance of a hangover.
Do you know that using different drugs or mixing alcohol and drugs together can put you at risk of harmful interaction effects? Safer not to mix. Find out more.
Plan how much you’ll spend on your night out. Getting home safely is important. Do you have a designated driver? Enough money for an Uber or Taxi? Remember to avoid taking alcohol or drugs into public areas like parks, cars or festivals. No one wants legal problems. Do not drink or use drugs alone.
